Zero-waste
technology approach

Refacture is a holistic waste management system utilizing the highest and best use technologies for recovering resources from problematic waste streams.

Assembling commercially proven technologies
under one roof.

  • 1 – Material Recovery (MRF) Process
  • 2 – Live Chemical Analysis
  • 3 – Anaerobic Digestion
  • 4 – Plasma Gasification
  • 5 – Manufacturing
1 – Material Recovery (MRF) Process

Material recovery facility (MRF)

Automated and mechanical sorting coupled with data analysis and machine learning. The steps of the sorting process are:

Sorting

Sorting and separating for Anaerobic Digestion;

Separation

Separating remaining organic materials; and,

Recovery

Recovering non-contaminated inorganics.

2 – Live Chemical Analysis
Live chemical composition of shredded waste materials. This process enables us to feed the plasma reactor with an ideal recipe of molecules to produce high quality products.
  1. Conveyance of materials through chemical analysis system;
  2. Molecular sorting; and,
  3. Temporary storage before blending for gasification.
3 – Anaerobic Digestion
Anaerobic digestion (AD) is suitable for food and agricultural waste.  The process makes two main products: biogas and digestate.  Biogas, consists of methane and carbon dioxide.  It will be added to synthesis gas (syngas) from plasma gasification to produce industrial gases and chemicals.  The digestate is a nutrient-rich material that can be made into commercial fertilizer.
4 – Plasma Gasification
Plasma gasification (PG) is best-suited for processing waste of varying composition such as plastics, wood, textiles, tires, and hazardous materials. Compared to traditional incineration, PG can avoid toxic emissions and recover virtually all of the molecules of a waste material for future manufacturing. Together, Refacture provides the ideal non-landfill solution for MSW and other wastes.
5 – Manufacturing
The syngas produced from organic waste materials by AD & PG will be cleaned and separated into green hydrogen and compressed CO2 for commercial sale.  Consequently, Refacture can produce green hydrogen 5 times cheaper than the cheapest green hydrogen on the market today. On the other hand, the inorganic materials will be manufactured into various commercial products.  Product such as: high R-value glass-wool insulation, porcelain-grade ceramic tile, purified metals, and other high-valued products.
